The questions owners actually ask.
Straight answers, no hedging. If yours is not here, ask directly and you’ll hear back personally.
Is talking to you confidential?
Completely. No brokers, no listings, no word getting around town. Everything you share stays between you and Brad, whether or not we ever do business together. Most owners talk to us long before anyone else knows they’re thinking about a change.
How are you different from a business broker?
A broker lists your business and earns a commission on the sale, whoever the buyer is. We are the buyer, or the investment partner. That means no listing fees, no parade of strangers through your shop, and a conversation with the actual person who would own the outcome.
What happens to my employees after a sale?
How a transition treats people is part of the deal, in writing and in practice. We buy businesses to strengthen and grow them, which requires the team that makes them work. Gutting payroll to juice short-term numbers is not our model.
How long does selling a business take?
A straightforward sale typically takes several months from first conversation to closing, and preparing well can take longer than the sale itself. The best outcomes start years early, which is why we’re glad to talk long before you’re ready. Our guide to preparing three years ahead walks through what that looks like.
What is my business worth?
Small businesses usually sell for a multiple of their owner earnings, adjusted for how the business runs without you, its trend, and its industry. Our free estimator gives you a private range in about two minutes.
Do I have to sell 100 percent of my business?
No. We structure around your goals: full sale, majority or minority investment, seller financing, earn-outs, and transitions where you stay involved as long (or as little) as you want. The Invest & Acquire page covers both paths.
I’m years away from selling. Should I still reach out?
Yes, and honestly that’s the ideal time. Owners who start the conversation early have time to grow their value, fix what discounts it, and choose their moment instead of being forced into one.
What does business advisory cost?
It depends on scope, and the first conversation is always free. We keep advisory practical and affordable for owner-operated businesses, and if we’re not the right fit we’ll say so and point you somewhere useful. See how advisory works.
Have a question that isn’t here?
Ask it directly. No pitch, no pressure, and you’ll hear back from Brad personally.
